Guys!
Watching the first snowfall through my son’s eyes is something I will never forget.
I haven’t felt the magic of the holidays in a longggg time. My initial joy and excitement of the Christmas season has been replaced with the joys of adulthood – stress, busyness, and just plain burnout.
This is the first holiday season in YEARS where I feel glimmers of that magic again – instead of the dread that has accompanied the planning of the season as of late for me.
My son isn’t old enough to understand or remember, yet I can’t wait to create memories with him, start my own family traditions, and create the same Christmas magic that my own parents gifted me.
Leaving cookies for Santa and sugar for the reindeer, making peanut butter balls, listening to my mother’s Neil Diamond Christmas tape…. such special memories I will never forget.
Christmas feels like home.
I want my son to know this nostalgic feeling.
I can’t wait for what is to come.
What are your holiday traditions? I would love to know. Sending you love and blessings for this upcoming new year.
xoxo, chelsea
