I am in the business of furiously budgeting for diapers and hand me downs
I am in the business of savoring every moment, while also missing aspects of who I used to be.
I am in the business of prioritizing my peace, taking care of my body, & being gentle with myself.
I am in the business of putting my family over my productivity,
of wine dates with my small circle,
of having the hard conversations,
of feeling at ease with myself.
And although it feels uncomfortable, it also feels so aligned. 🤎

i hope you are doing more than simply existing during this season of life; I hope you are intentionally walking through the chaos with purpose and fulfillment.

I hope your heart feels peaceful at night when you lay your head on your pillow because you know you gave everything your all, and your all is simply enough right now.

I hope you feel twinges of appreciation even on the days when you’re exhausted and feeling mediocre at best about life.

I hope you know that this season of life has a purpose, and you are capable of walking through it with grace and ease.

I’ve been through a lot of transitions in my life. Divorce, remarriage into a blended family, career changes, motherhood. Transitions sure as hell aren’t easy. What I can tell you is that there’s a better life on the other side if you can just get past the fear of taking that single first step. If you feel like you deserve more, that means you do. If you’re feeling stuck, remember that you’re not . I believe in you. 🫶🏼 if you’re looking for a sign, notice that you’re seeking more. This is your sign. 🫶🏼

Nothing made me more anxious than choosing to resi

Nothing made me more anxious than choosing to resign from my job in education to stay home with my son. It was easily one of the most nerve-wracking and difficult decisions that I ever had to make. Choosing to leave my life of stability, financial wellness, and good benefits to pursue going back to school + being a sahm was a total mindset shift. A shift away from comfort; a shift that instead required patience, trust, and faith in the timing of my life.

Even though I have days where I grieve my past life as a school counselor, I know I made the right decision. I wouldn’t trade these years staying home with my son for anything in the world. Our bond is so close right now and I know all of the details of his sweet little existence . I love that I can snuggle him in the morning, watch Monsters Inc. for the hundredth time, and watch him tear my house apart. I love that I can see his crazy hair after he wakes up from his nap, steal sweet kisses when I put his shoes on, and play in rain puddles, like we did today.

It’s not to say that staying home has been easy. I struggle balancing it all…. School + momming + being a spouse + interning + creating. it’s been stressful trying to find the new groove within our family unit. However, it’s so worth it. I take one day at a time and am grateful for this chaotic time in my life.

For those of you who are currently going through a similar life transition, just breathe. These moments of growth will ultimately shape you. Leading a joyful and purposeful life does not exist without taking a few risks and making sacrifices among the way. know that it is all going to work out.
