Sharing a fun lil girl’s night out look wine tasting.
Well, if we are being honest, it was a day thing. Because this girl is tired and likes to be home in sweats by 7pm, lol.
Holla for wide-legged, high waisted mom jeans, guys. Please, please, puhlhease lord don’t you dare ever bring back the skinnies!! (said every girl ever).
I am a huge lover of delicately crafted local wines. I will admit that I am a bit of a wine snob. There is just something about a high-quality, sweet glass of wine after a long day.
(I am a moscato girl, in case y’all wanted to gift me anytime soon.)
There is a cutesie little winery near where I live where tastings are affordable. It’s a great space to have intentional conversation with friends and get out of the house. I love it because it is kind of in the middle of no where, located in northern, rural Wisconsin. I’m a country girl at heart, so it fits my vibe.
On this day I felt alive. It was the first time I had been out of the house in a long time since having a baby.
The postpartum struggle has been real.
Sometimes, I miss the freedom of going out and doing what I want, when I want.
But then I remember that this is all part of the transition.
I love being a mom and I would never, ever trade it for ANYTHING. I would much rather spend a night in with my baby than a night out, but this night…. was needed, friends.
I am grateful for life-long friends, a high-quality bottle of wine that doesn’t break the bank, and jeans that make me feel like a million bucks, esp. in this beautiful, wonderfully-made postpartum bod. <3
Until next time, // xoxo chelsea
